I don't know what is going on and maybe someone will have some insight.
A little background:
I bought this truck 3rd hand about 2 years ago and it's pretty tricked out. It's chipped but it seems that the PCM is programmed, not an additional piece of hardware and it is (was) fast. It would build nearly 30 lbs of boost. Last summer it refused to start one time but started after a few attempts, no issues since. I'm older now and drive like an older man but last summer I went to get into the fuel peddle and it acted like a stock set up. Since it ran fine otherwise I did nothing but kept driving and suspected that my programming went back to stock when it refused to start. Now, I just changed the oil to T6 and it is cold outside (I know that winter air is denser than summer air and therefore burns better) and it is back to running like it used to. What could cause this?
No chip in the back of the PCM? When I had a superchip on the PCM it went bad once and I removed it and it was fine. Did you look at the case of the pcm to see if there was a chip?
My programing will act stock until it gets to about 155 degrees. It gives alittle more as the temp rises, then at about 180 it lights right up. Just curious, does it have a stock turbo? 30PSI burns out the bearing pretty quick.
I know guys with over 200k that run 30psi and know problems. I don't belive that at all. I also know guys who's shaft broke with no tuner, stock. So ever buddy can believe what they want. I just don't believe it.
