Old thread, but while its here, problem solved! For any early 99 SD owners out there, OverKill was able to take off a lower track bar mount on a late model SD so I can exchange it w/ the one I have on my truck. Eventhough the early 99 trac bars are stronger than the later model ones, I was very hesitant on going w/ an 8" lift and not being able to go w/ an aftermaket trac bar. There's not a lift comapny out there, besides SJ, that makes an adjustable trac bar for early model SD's. And because of the shallow well in the lower trac bar mount, even the SJ one doesn't perform very well. Already covered it w/ my installer for Monday's appt. who just luckily happens to be a certified welder. It makes a world of difference when you know a supplier has gone out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied even after the sale. This 8" lift mod has been quite a lot for me to handle alone. But I just didn't want to hand my truck over to somebody to install components "they" want me to have. I highly recommend OverKill for anybody wanting to get involved lifting their truck, to get you the right parts even if sometimes you really may not need em.
I had a 2000 SD CC Diesel 4x4 with the fabtech 8 inch and 38x15.5x16.5 tires. I was going through a divorce and I had to sell it but now I am going to by an 04 4x4 SD CC 6.0 Liter. I am looking at the Edge 12.5 inch system and I was wondering if you can possibly fit a 42 inch tire on this list. It recommends a 39.5" but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. Thanks in advance,
Randy

is this the same overkill?
i figure if i go taller later, i would rather buy used hangers than used springs. the 6" lift will really look rockin' with those 265's

Nope, not the same Overkill.......
Welcome to FTE.

A guy who is a member here, kehale, has the 8" Deaver springs along with the 3" Edge hanger and shackle and has fit 42" TSLs underneath it. Here's a link to Kehale's SD on 42s (in the front)
