Wheel travel refers to the actual amount of vertical movement of the suspension. The true technical term for this is jounce.

It's only fair to mention that the Edge adjustable pan rod will not work with early 99s due to the small lower track bar mount.

Because when you invest 30-50K on a truck it doesn't make sense to skimp on something that can quite literally make or break your truck. Again, you are talking about a difference of less than 1%. [/img]

With which kit specifically?

ProComp?
Fabtech?
Superlift?
Skyjacker?
Rancho?
Truckin Suspension?

And I thought that for sure Truckin' was the way to go since it is probably the cheapest available..........and I'd get just the same amount of lift and keep alot more cash in my pocket

Well, we could lift the bar (equal quality product?) a little higher and add:

RCD

BDS

After EDGE, Donahoe rated these #2 and #3 in a previous thread!

Still looking,
Lenny

Anyone have contact info for either of these companies?
BTW MY local shop has never heard of Edge lifts.

Try:

www.racecardynamics.com

www.bds-suspension.com

Many people haven't heard of Edge lifts, the bigger shops out here have, not sure about the smaller ones though.

Hope this helps.

And oddly enough RCD and BDS which Donahoe ranked 2 and 3 don't seem to be as popular as some of the other brands (SJ, SL, and ProComp)..............I probably guess advertising has something to do with that.

I left RCD off the list because their kits are actually more expensive than Edge. Although their SD kits are not quite as good they do have a great product line. I sell quite a few of their F150 & Chevy IFS kits and will soon be distributing them.

I forgot BDS (Trailmaster) because I've never installed one of their SD spring kits. However just by looking at their kit it is obvious that they are not as well constructed and I would bet the price of a kit that it will not ride as well as an Edge lift.

I am curious about these measurements also, as I still need the truck to fit through the garage door. (oversize door)

Thanks,
Lenny

i decided on the 6" edge. overkill offroad in plano is doing it .
is this the same overkill?
i figure if i go taller later, i would rather buy used hangers than used springs. the 6" lift will really look rockin' with those 265's
