steering stabilizer

I recently noticed my 99 F250 has no steering stabilizer. I purchased this truck used and can tell where it goes. The previous owner must have knocked it off and didn't replace it. My question is, it ok to run without it or should i put another on???? Thanks

it doesn't hurt anything to run without one, however you will probably find that the feel in the steering wheel is a lot nicer and smoother with one on there.
