need a lift comparison
If you have The Edge lift kit on your truck and you have also used another lift company, I want to hear what you think of both systems.
I just want opinions of people who have had a name brand lift kit and then went to the Edge.
You don't have to even name the previous lift company... just what you think of your Edge system compared to what you had previously.
I am going to go with either a 3" kit or a 4.5" kit. For various reasons, I keep researching this topic and am still not confident enough to make a decision on a kit.
$ is of no concern.
Thanks,
Scott
Good luck, go with the EDGE if you can afford it.

I'm not sure to many people here run a full EDGE kit yet.
Be patient, Im sure some one will come along to answer your question.
You could try the other site, from what I hear, they love it over there
think of it this way.... buy the edge kit OR buy another brand (that is just as good imo) and get rims, tires, gears, etc for nearly the same price. (ok, maybe a bit more, but you get the idea)
so... imo, if you feel the need to go with the latest trend and want to be cool and say you have the edge... go for it!! buy one!! be a happy customer (well, i hope that is the outcome).
if you want to save a few bucks and have a GREAT kit... buy a fabtech, skyjacker, superlift, etc..... you will save money and be happy that you did!
again... imo, don't buy into the hype.... get what you want! if that is the edge kit, cool! if it is another brand, cool!

one thing that i hear over and over about why the edge kits ride sooo much better (ride quality is a 100% subjective opinion) is that they use bilstein shocks..... well let me tell you, you CAN buy bilstein shocks without buying the edge kit! and EVERY lift company i know of will credit you on their shocks if you want to take them out of their kit and upgrade to something else (rancho, bilsteins, edelbrocks, etc..)

Had the fabtech 5.5" lift and PA body lift. I will be keeping the body lift ( although if I had it to do over I would not get the body lift 'cosmetic reasons only'). The fabtech leaf springs are staying in the front with the addition of the 4.5" edge hangers, the edge track bar relocation kit and adjustable track bar and ORU crossover steering. In the rear I am replacing the fabtech springs with a pair of Atlas 12" leaf springs. I am also replacing the fabtech shocks with 6 Bilstein 7100's.
I had to exchange a few parts (I had the wrong size shock bodies) and I decided to go with the 4.5 hangers instead of the 3". At that point I broke down and also ordered the crossover steering. The hangers and crossover steering have been shipped and should arrive any day. I have everything else so I hope it is at least close to being done by the end of the week!

Join the club. I've been posting at another forum and now here. Finally just ordered a edge 3" kit today from Fox. I really didn't want to buy a spring lift at this time, then junk it when I decide to go bigger. But I did want the best quality and built hangers for the money, and hopefully the Edge hangers will live up to their billing. Good luck with your decision

is that better???
Since there can't be a TRUE comparison without a non bias group performing the "tests" most everything else is said in opinion.
Everybody's opinion differs and this is no place for advertisements of peoples products.
So with that said, your opinions are welcome but lets not push to hard on one manufacturer over another based on anything else but your real life experiences , likes and dislikes, and why.
I and some others like to hear or see proof, lets try to include that in our posts when replying with opinions on lift kits.
I have used kits and or products from Skyjacker, Superlift, Fabtech, ProComp, Rancho, Rough Country and Trail Master and many others.
I have opinions on their products based on my own experiences with them, not because one guy said one was better because some other guy said so.
My first lift was on a 77 Highboy, when I was 16 years old and back then "kits" werent around, so I made my own, Im now 36, and om my 7th lifted truck, I try to answer with likes and or problems I have had with certain parts and not with "they look cool" or "the guy says his are the best" in my world that doesn't cut it.
Do I know everything? almost
, When I first came to this site, I could not believe the info that was available, where I am, we have no stores to stop in at to look over different products everything is mail ordered. I talked to a few different people on here and they helped me out big time with my different questions and concerns. I guess what I am trying to say is, lets help but not sell.
With that said, Please still include the humor
