I just wish we could use Traitors as targets...........
I was honestly disappointed with the class. I guess it was ok for a free class, but I didn't get much out of it. It took 2 hours to get 18 people through 3 drills (4 at 2 targets each time). About 1/4 of the people looked like they barely knew how to load their firearms. Several people had issues remembering to take the safety off or chamber a round after they drew to fire. That class is fine for beginners who need to work on the basics, but I feel I'd be better off in a more advanced class or training on my own.
Personally, I prefer a DAO with no manual safety and carried condition 1. If you need to use it, you want it to be as fast and simple as possible to engage the target. Needing to chamber a round wastes time, and a safety is one more step to remember. I totally understand having a manual safety on a SA, like a 1911 being carted cocked and locked, but not a DA.
I carried several different Glocks and liked them, tried a CZ RAMI DA/SA and didn't care for it. Currently I have a S&W M&P compact and I love it!
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Made it home from town. One more day of undetected crime almost complete...

This is the conclusion of Saturday #4 and just to make it a really good & special Saturday #4, Uncle Sam just sent the Eagle to visit my checking account. My beer money has arrived!
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Made it to 100 today.
Waiting anxiously to hear how many points Chris scored with Hood to Coast Runners this afternoon....
I want to see a picture of the scores on the door of your truck!
Good evening Oregon FTE, made it through the work week.
Jim the Hood to Coast is a 199 mile relay that started this morning their not here yet!
And we are bailing out of town in the morning to avoid them.
I knew the first relays started at 0500 this morning and I thought some might make it into the vicinity by late this afternoon. We have some type of annual run that comes through here and uses the high school in our back yard as a staging area. We usually see a few early afternoon Friday and then an inundation early Saturday morning.
The Bike races are another story...they got so bad they were banned from Hwy 18 until they get to Fort Hill, where there is no alternative to using Hwy 18.
