We haven't got any fresh snow here in awhile which is fine by me but now it is blistering cold and need to bank up the sides of the house for some added insulation from the wind. So I guess tomorrow I'll fire up the blower and clean off my lawn...lol
17 degrees and almost 15 inches of snow here......I spent all afternoon plowing out a neighbors driveway yesterday.....didn't get roped into any of that today though....just ran some errands and did a few small things here.....didn't hang out in the shop so I didn't bother to build a fire.
Jim....the wife and I both forgot our anniversary last month.......enjoy your trip!
Just got home from the Casino and picking up the Warden. Very boring trip.
No sick Warden, no ambulances and no cars trying to climb power poles tonight. Just 11 icy boring miles one way, repeated by 11 long boring even icier miles back to the house.
Wayne, I have just got to ask. How do you forget your anniversary? This is information that would be good for me know as if I could figure it out it would save me about $500.00!

First thing to remember.........this only works if SHE forgets also!!! It gets ugly if she remembers and you forget.
We had a household full of her relatives staying with us during that time. She was trying to help them out...... During all the stress and hubub neither of us even thought of it. I finally remembered two weeks later.
I don't recommend this method.....having her family here cost a lot more than $500.00.
At least now they are gone...

That alone is enough to warrant me taking her on two anniversary trips...and then a vacation to get over the anniversary trips.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Temp dropped from 30 to 28. Light dusting of snow just to add to the fun. Solid overcast with no sun.
Looks like I get to put chains on the car today if I'm going to stand a chance of getting it out of the gun club lot and up the hill.
Oh never mind. The chains I have fit two of the cars, but not the Buick. The owners manual for the Buick Lucerne says chains can't be used on the 235/55R17 Tires as there is insufficient clearance...
Just about ready to throw the weed burner / propane torch into the pickup and go thaw out about 75' of hillside and another 50' of parking lot. All gravel underneath the ice so shouldn't hurt anything.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
28° and the ice on the gun club hill didn't thaw out. In fact it got worse. Car is still in the parking lot, and I ended up having to use the winch on the pickup to pull the pickup up out of the hole. Car will stay for a couple of days and we are taking the pickup on our anniversary trip in the morning.
