Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 68.3°, supposedly on its way to 90 to 95 depending on which forecast you look at. It's sunny with 74% humidity. Humidity was at 100% early and has been dropping like a rock for about an hour now. Wx Alert - High Heat in effect through tomorrow night.
Long night last night. Power outage hit us during the "Prime Time" Olympics coverage. Some type of equipment failure. The Warden got to the power company web site on her smart phone and since it appeared the power was going to be out for an extended time frame, I ran an extension cord to the inverter on the pickup until I could get the generator out, set up and going. So, after I got everything switched over to the generator and my Wi-Fi router up and running again, then the cable company apparently ran out of battery back up or generator power so we lost the cable and the internet.
So we watched some DVR'd Olympics. Also set up the power to some flood lights on the front and back yard to discourage the unscrupulous types that might want to take advantage of the power outage.
Spent this morning getting power cords and power - surge strips picked up and put away. Still have to drain the gas tank and carb on the generator and get it put away.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Made it up to 95 here today.
Got wonderful news...get to go in for a surgery on Sept. 28. It will be an RO1N or RO2N affair. The worst part is that I'll be out of action (supposedly) for 4 to 6 weeks afterword which will really mess with my deer hunting.
Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Four hours ago when I headed to the river for some fishing, it was 74. Now it is 77.1 supposedly on its way to 90. Gauge says the humidity has dropped from 90 to 55%, but as sticky and muggy as it feels, I don't think so.

Interesting, the two standing on the river bank a little while ago seemed to be laughing...
Good morning all. We just got back home from Portland. We were there overnight with Owen to get his sleep study done. Poor guy had about 30 electrodes hooked up all over his body. Hopefully they got the data they need and everything looks good. We probably won't know for a while.
Belated good morning Ford Fans'. Been working on computers this morning mostly goofing around with Ubuntu.
Waiting for the over night drizzle to dry off so I can go play on a flat roof.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got the pickup and the camper washed and ready to go to the coast for an overnighter Tuesday morning. Looks like it will be jacket weather...I'll bet I can't get her to the top of the light house this time either....
Have a good evening. Taking off for the farm so the dogs can run. Thinking I just might stop by DQ on the way home and boost my cholesterol levels.
