Ahhh ok. Thank you for the quick reply. It will definitely be a better fit under the rear so thanks for the information on that a while back.

Does anyone know how much of the front frame gets cut off of a 55 for the smooth front roll pan? I'm sick of banging my leg on it walking around it. maybe I'll also tape some foam on it too. I plan to crop the bumper down some and bolt it to the frame behind the roll pan to keep some structure up there

Just a little weekday progress. Got an 8' section of the frame boxed in. Next up will be the rear axle section so I can get the axle and triangulated 4 link tacked in place.

Hope you remembered to weld in the nuts to the frame for running board brackets and anything else that needs to be bolted up later..

I didn't but I was thinking of either welding those on permanent or getting those nut rivets since I will have the air bag tank, fuel tank and I'm sure other things to bolt to the frame. Haven't worked all that out yet but I'll come up with something.

I used 11 gauge which is 1/8" thick and the same as the existing frame. I plan to weld some kind of x brace in the center section to help with flex.

The rear sections will be done by next week so I can get the suspension welded in.

bjmayberry2 do you have pictures of your truck on your profile? Looks amazing but I can't enlarge it any. I love the stance.
I'm going to put air ride suspension on all four corners of mine and if I measured correctly the lowest setting I will have the running boards about 1" off the ground then do the other 2 presets up from that. Yours looks pretty low in the pic. thanks.

Sstephanuik,
My Avitor is a Photoshopped 56 (I'm not bragging necessity is the mother of invention) with the Ruby Red Metallic and Mustang Fan Wheels added. It's my dream machine, far from completion. It's currently torn apart adding a CV IFS & Rearend plus a 4.6 Mark VIII & Tranny. I'd also like to do something with the back barn doors and a flip frontend.

That's awesome. I've got a 4.6 from the donor Vic I bought but I'm going to do a coyote instead. Also going to do the 20" steelies with low profile white walls.
Are you able to get the Vic rear end to fit? Mine was too wide and I had to get an explorer rear. But I'm going to swap the Vic diff and gears over since they're in better shape

non heated is not an issue here but I moved from Chicago just a year and a half ago so I know what you mean for sure. I'm excited to get the body stripped and in epoxy primer so I can start the body work. Really want to get all that done before June when its 92 and humid every day.
