It's Scott. And I'm not sure who makes them or what they're called. I bought them back in 2005 or 06. They're 17's. they also have center spinners that can be put on but I wasn't feeling the look last time I had the rims off.
Thanks Scott for the info about the wheels and your name..
Thanks guys. Sorry I don't have more info on the rims but there isn't a name on them, at least on the outside.
Got some more body work done the last couple days and got the roof and passenger side in primer. Had some low spots on the side after blocking the primer so those should hopefully be gone now. Wanted to have the whole upper half done by years end but work has been insanely busy and I'm picking up more jobs than I have time for just about.
I'll get some more pics up this week. Tomorrow my dad and I are taking our 20' 1973 mako boat that we rebuilt and are getting a new motor hung in it. Hoping by February to be fishing down south.
Good taste in cars. Nice thing about both is every part of them is available. My mustang was really bad when I got it but I was too young and dumb to realize it should have stayed where it was. The only original sheet metal on the mustang is the firewall and roof and the roof was caved in when I found it. Glad now that I saved it though.
Well wasn't home for the holiday but got a nice eastwood hammer and dolly box set with a few of each to play with, a file grinder and welding jacket so I can quit either burning through my long sleeve tshirts, getting burned by splatter or getting a sunburn when I only wear a tshirt if I'm welding for a few minutes. Should all help with progress when I can get back to it. Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
Got a little work done this week. The roof was block sanded with 120 after priming and it's perfectly smooth now. Another coat of primer and 320 block out to get ready for paint. The right side is also totally ready for the final coat and the ds is a few hours of blocking away. I'm leaving the areas where the doors meet rough until I get the doors installed and will finish those with the door edges to make nice gaps.
Once I get this I don't know if I want to move on to the rear doors or the lower body sections. Trying to work on one section at a time so it's not as overwhelming and frustrating.
Anyone have a line on an old panel that isn't going to be saved or is already cut up? I'm looking to try and find someone that would cut off the lower right sides of the panel in front of and behind the rear wheel well. Probably a stretch but can't hurt to throw it out there. I think the lower left sides I can save with a couple patches here and there.
Well after too many months of no progress due to being stupid busy with work I got a pair of doors that are pretty solid. Just need light work on the bottoms and some body work.
One thing I want to do is put the original mirror on the doors. Problem is I don't have any and second problem is I don't want anything new chrome on the truck. Since I'm doing a faux patina paint job and using my original handles with some wear and tear on them, new chrome just wouldn't work well.
Any one have some old slightly rusty/pitted originals they'd be willing to part with? Even if the glass is bad I could probably have that changed out to new.
I'll get some progress picks once I get some progress to take pics of
