Yea, the end of June actually. Between letting the ground firm back after the spring thaw and schedule conflicts that was the best time for everyone. I knew I would be getting pretty impatiant about this time but man, I'm dying here!!!
By the way Stu, When I got these wheels I also grabbed the lug nuts for the DRW set up. Do you know anybody that needs these? I have no need for them but they were part of the deal for the wheels so I took them just in case somebody else needed them. Let me know if I can help, thanks.
Old "inner cap nuts" are good for filling up coffee cans and taking space on the shelf. Not much else. I've got some on the shelf too, but have thrown most into the recycle bucket. Stu

Haha, sounds like my garage. I just found another coffee can last night full of inners and outer nuts. I moved the f1 cab over a couple feet to sqeeze a new work bench in and scared off a few dust bunnies as well.
OK then, into a coffee can they go and off to their designated spot on the shelf.I'll consider them a trophy for finding my wheels so quickly HAHA!!! Thanks guys
Thanks Joe, They cleaned up pretty good, not perfect by any means but not bad. I'll powder coat them some time down the road but for now I think both me and my truck are gonna be grinning all the way home!!!
I think that's a good suggestion because even if the original wheels somehow turn out to be usable I doubt that I would due to the fact that nobody wants to deal with them from a safety standpoint. If there's somebody out there that needs those rings I would be happy to help out.
I might be in need of one or more of the RI rings if/when you get the truck. Thank you! Rick Klein, Lincoln NE
Hey. There is a new member who lives in Montana and going to Seattle soon to get his soon to be new truck.
You guys should do a trailer swap or something somewhere in the middle! Of course that may not be as interesting as you each doing your own run.. Come to think of it i think he was drinking all your koolaid!. You better hurry up...

Great minds think alike, Josh. I pm'd Phill with the same idea while his thread was active. Also recommended that Rick drop by here about the RI rings. Stu

Hi Rick, I'll be getting my truck at the end of June and have no use for the original wheels or the rings you're talking about so I would be happy to help out in any way I can. Just let me know what you need and we'll figure out how to get it to you.

Hi Josh, Stu, Phil and I have already talked about this and as it turns out both of us have special situations involved with picking up our trucks so what seems like a " No Brainer" won't work out....this time. Since we both make semi-regular trips back and forth we're keeping our offers open. Thanks for the thoughts guys.

Thanks! Looks like you are near Seattle? I will be in the Seattle area in mid July. If you will be around then, I can come to you. Be great to meet you and see your projects. Will be in touch!

Yep, we connected, and won't quite work out. Fun to talk to a real person about these trucks though!
And, I'm just drinking the kool-aid that y'all are serving up. Who's more guilty, the one that drinks it, or the one that serves it?
