Thanks! Looks like you are near Seattle? I will be in the Seattle area in mid July. If you will be around then, I can come to you. Be great to meet you and see your projects. Will be in touch!
July shouldn't be a problem. I'm looking forward to meeting you
Well, here we are at the end of June.....I do believe a ROAD TRIP is in order!!!! We leave for Montana first thing in the morning to go get my truck. The time has finally arrived and believe me when I say it was a long and agonizing 9 months!!! Can't wait to get it back home and start playing and having fun. Needless to say many pictures will be taken and perhaps a video or two may even show up. With good luck and favorable weather a day of stream fishing is on the agenda, could be a perfect weekend shaping up.
Loaded up and ready to hit the road first thing in the morning. With my friends help, it was on the trailer in less than 2 hrs!!! Easy Peasy smooth as silk. Nine months of planning and preparing it should have right!! Anyway, now for the long haul back to Seattle with nothing but a great big 'ol toothy grin of a '51 in my rearview mirror..HA HA...life is good!
Brings back memories of my similar road trips. Interest in the truck will make gas stops take longer, passing trucks (you'll be going slow) will give the thumbs up and honk, and grown men will stare like they are little kids. Be sure to check the tie downs at each stop. And enjoy the view in the mirror. Stu
keep your eyes open while on the highway for any parts trucks along the way!!
For years as we drive west on I-80 to visit our son and his family in Portland I've stretched my neck as much as I dare passing through the Kimbell, Nebraska, area. On one trip I'm sure I saw sitting in a farmers field with other derelicts, north side of the road way off in the distance, an R3-4 or R32-4. Couldn't stop when I saw it, and never have seen it since. But I slow down every time going through that area just in case. Stu
Back home safe and sound. That was a long haul and stopped being fun and more like work at the end!! I'll get my pics downloaded in a few days but for now here's couple to look at.
Welcome home! Sounds like there were challenges on the return trip. Hope nothing major, just fatigue maybe. Adrenalin only gets you so far. After my similar trips retrieving the derelicts in my signature block, I understand how you feel. Stu
Thanks Stu, Mostly fatigue. Between issues with trailer tires and what has to be the worlds roughest and most rutted Interstate(I 90) the trip became very stressful. On the bright side, my truck is home and I can actually get started on it....let the games begin!!!!
Glad you got it home safe. She's a Beauty, or he's a handsome feller depending on point of view. Hahaha.
Tires and wheels look good too. Looks like its ready to go for a ride. Fuel, spark, go! Worry about brakes later...
