Congrats! Now the fun will begin when you get it home and start crawling all over it. People will mention things like the W or F for the t-case and then you will have to go check. I have one of each and now I have to go check my data plates tonight to see if they both have the stamp or just the wisconsin. It will be interesting to see where it falls in line with the others that are on the list. If I recall my F2 and another, maybe DJs are back to back. 351 and 352. Stu has it in his magic book if I have it wrong.

You have it right. Your F-2 is 351, his is 352. I'm gonna be interested to see where casper's '51 fits in with Josh's numbers 136 and 159. Stu

I checked the F2 data tag. It has the F for fuller t-case.

It's 217, the earliest '52 I have recorded. And it has a Wisconsin. Stu

Goose poop and rattle snakes!! Your above comment gets a short story. You've seen that I've gathered archive info on F-2/F-3 M-Hs I've found. A few years ago I visited a major M-H collector who lives in WY. Many of his trucks are outdoors in a field that is patrolled by geese. Asking why they have the geese I was told they control the rattle snakes. On those trucks I don't have axle numbers. Stu

That should have made it easier to slide under the truck!

I can't read it Stu, but then again my eyes are not that good. If i ever get to that place maybe I should bring a selfie stick to get you those numbers. Or maybe just go in the winter time. And casper, if you head out this weekend to check on your new baby don't forget the pb blaster or whatever your favorite monkey spit is. And don't forget the Jack so you can check the front axle.

Wow! I guess it's been too long since I have been on this segment of FTE...Well, the weekend is here so I guess the journey has begun. Can't wait to see what unfolds. I'll be back, but it's been a long week. I had a blast reading all this.

Well good, Gary dropped by our corner of the forums. Guys that visit the '47 and under forum know Gary has the tonner market cornered. Let's see if I can plant a M-H seed in your mind, Gary. Surely there are times on Orcas Island when an old 4x4 would come in handy. Perhaps a M-H model OT5-4 should be in your future, if one could be found. Here's my favorite file pic of one. Stu

Ditto. I've even thought about using my '50 as a donor to create one like it. All the M-H pieces would be correct for a '46/'47. But then I'd have to start looking again for a transfer case for the '51. Oh well. Stu
