Very nice guys. Well, looks like another 4 days and I'll be pulling ours out of storage. been a long winter. Looking forward to the summer season at home & next winter when we can go south. Safe travels!
Took delivery of a 2017 Cedar Creek Thursday. A lot more squat than I expected for a 350 with camper tow package. It was already getting dark when we pulled off so I have not been to the scales. Advertised gvw is 16k. I am running a BW Companion Slider with the uprights set to 1" in front of axle. Will changing the uprights to the 3" in front of axle placement help the squat at all? We are parked until April when we leave for Maine. Should I just go ahead and add air bags? It seamed to pull great but Thursday was first time pulling a 5er. 18 years pulling travel trailers.
Edit to add, truck is not parked square with trailer and wheel are turned slightly to the right
I just wanted to update the changes I made and the improvement. I changed the upright brackets on the BW hitch to move the hitch to the more forward position. I also installed Torque Lift Internationals Stable Loads. Moving the hitch helped and the Stable Loads made a big difference. Measuring ride height with the Stable Loads engaged vs not engaged helped raise the rear and lowered the front a 1/2 inch. My truck sits about level without the camper and the rear only drops an inch with the camper hitched up. Rig tows great. No sway or noticeable body roll. Currently making our way to Maine for the summer. Will also add fuel mileage is 8.2 mpg average towing about 950 miles so far. 4x4 4.30 gear. Camper is 15200 lbs.
sccamper........
I added air bags to my 2015 F350 DRW....... The squat wasn't huge, but I wanted the truck level ! I also noticed that I got a smoother ride......
Don't forget to check your roof and perform regular maintenance and preventive maintenance before you head out for this year's adventures with your 5th wheel in tow! I spent a good portion of the day cleaning, checking and preparing our 5th wheel as we are READY TO GO!

Good advise Sous. I was just on the roof of ours and all looked good. This is especially important if you have solar. Early last year a lost one of my panels. Did not know exactly when it happened as I accidently stumbled on it. Got it replaced and all is well. Just 1 more reason to check your roof periodically......
