Wow! Those axles look to be a good bit more forward than typical on fivers, I would assume a little lighter pin weight but with a bit more tail swing. Nice looking unit though!
Agreed, but it will probably ride harsher with the forward bogies.
Tractor trailers have sliding assemblies for weight distribution. Further forward turns better further back rides better.
That is a nice looking trailer. We are looking for a new 5er (upgrading from a Forest River 2902WS) and are looking for another Rockwood. The one we had was reasonably well built and we had only a few very minor issues.
One of the reasons it caught my eye is that I am trying to stay around 35’ as my street is on the narrow side and the faster it turns the easier it will be for me to get it in the driveway.
friends we camp with have a rockwood, its pretty nice, and they haven't had many problems. if you get a new trailer and you have only minor problems you are doing well. most new ones have problems ,its just the way they are made, but if your a tad handy you can get through it. i have bought alot of toys in my life, trailers are probably the worst when you have trouble, takes months many times for fixes, warranty s are laughable and dealers are...... well ill just leave it at that. but they are alot of fun.

This will be our fourth unit and I’m reasonably handy so I take care of the usual stuff and I have been lucky to avoid bringing a unit back to the dealer for anything so far. (Knocks on wood ✊)
My wife teaches at a local college and I am retired so we get plenty of time to enjoy them. The biggest issue at the moment is that the inventory is so low we can’t find one we want.
I had to take mine in for warranty inspection yesterday. Stopped on my way to pick up the new (used) bed for my dually conversion. About 35 miles from home I stopped at a Loves to fuel up and decided to weigh. Almost didn’t fit on the scale, so decided to measure. 79 feet, 28,560 lbs. I think I was just a bit over in more than one category…. Nice Nevada Sunset
