We love it down there. And since we have friends near Sevierville and now Dandridge it's a no brainer to keep going back.
Check out Anchor Down resort in that area you won't be disappointed. Stayed there a couple years ago and the place is amazing if you like a resort atmosphere.

Will be there in 3 weeks. This will be our first trip there.

We will look into that one. It sounds familiar actually.

Cool! Have a great time and if you think of it PM me a report.😉
What bike rack are you using on your 5er? I have been looking for a good solution and have yet to find one but like the looks of that.
I fabbed the receiver using some 1x2.5 tubing and reciever stock material from Harbor Freight. Besides the time and electric bill for the welding I might have $20 into it. I opted to through-bolt it on using 4 5/16 bolts & locknuts.
The rack itself I picked up on sale from Dicks. It's a Thule tilt & folding 4 bike rack. I've also built some receivers for people to use on a standard pinbox and they worked well. Ever trip out I get people asking about it. I should fab a few up and carry them with me. It's a piece of mind seeing the bikes while travelling instead of them bouncing around on the back bumper.
Here's a few pics.

Thanks for the info that is a great and yet simple design. Looks like I will have to make a trip to harbor freight and find somebody to do some welding for me.

We went 3 years ago in July for a couple weeks. Really enjoyed the entire area and the campground... ok resort. I like visiting different places so I often only visit an area once but Anchor down is on my short list for a second visit! So much to do in the area. I probably don't have to tell you though as you are semi-local to the area.
Chalk up another one for "small world" here on the interwebs - I lived between Mt Pleasant & Hampshire, but went to school in Columbia a whole bunch of years ago
