Chalk up another one for "small world" here on the interwebs - I lived between Mt Pleasant & Hampshire, but went to school in Columbia a whole bunch of years ago
There used to be an older gentleman that sat on the side of 412 highway as you go out of Hampshire. He had a seat at the guardrail. Waved at everyone.
Good afternoon 87crewdually I just noticed that my standard pin box is sloped down do you happen to have any additional photo's of how you fabbed up the hitch for the standard pin boxes?

I cut the end of the tube to match the angle of the box. I then welded legs with tabs on outward angles on the front of the reciever down to the pinbox. In the end It has 3 points of attachment. If I remember correctly I used 3/8 bolts and .25 x 2 flat stock.
Perfect thanks! Looks like all I need to do is get the receiver this weekend and I can start putting this together and find somebody to weld it for me.
That a good idea Gigger didn't even think of that. I had actually spoke with my maintenance department at work and asked them if they could do some welding for me.
Updated Picture, ready to go tomorrow...
New to the Forum, here is a pic of my Sierra hooked to my F-250 with 50# pressure in the air bags, and a picture of the new tow vehicle a 2016 CCLB Dually Lariat with Ultimate package.
My 2013 F-250 hooked to my 44 Foot Sierra with 50# of air in the bags to level the ride some.
And my 2016 Dually that replaced the F-250, don't have a picture of it hooked up yet.
Looking forward to reading all the discussions and learning from such a large group of Ford Enthusiasts.

Thank you too Commander......
Have fun....
We have been making 6 - 8 week trips every summer since 2013. We are raising a granddaughter so that keeps us in Montana during the school year. The truck and 5th wheel make life comfy on the road....

Great looking dually...ought to look great hooked up to the Sierra! Congrats..
Thanks Don, it does look good, everybody accuses me of only buying trucks that match my campers. I don't do it intentionally, but when I looked for a truck those just happen to be the ones available within 50 miles that I am willing to pay the price for. Heck, I was watching the local dealer for 3 months waiting on an used F350 dually to come in and I found this one at a Ram dealer. Wouldn't you know it, three days later my Ford Dealer called and said they just had a 2017 with 20,000 miles come in that I might like. Told them sorry they were a day late, but i would see them when it was time for this one to get serviced since they owe me a free oil change anyway.
Oh, hey Don, do you have an aux tank in your truck under that MX4 cover? I am putting the MX4 on mine tomorrow and am trying to find a small aux tank about 45 to 50 gallons or so that will fit under the cover.

Brent,
My '17 came with the 48 gallon fuel tank so that's enough for a good days drive for me! Bought my cover mainly to keep my hitch covered and things dry when not towing. Last year wife and I went to look at a leftover '16 Lariat DRW and walked out with a new '17 ! Wife also made me get a new trailer to match the truck so we just bought a new GD Solitude that replaced the Keystone Fuzion toyhauler we had...she likes the more living area in the new one. Looking forward to seeing pics of the new dually hooked up to the Sierra.
