It's going to be another great day to be outside. I think I'll go to the campground and rake out my site today have to get mulch for the bushes today That will take care of the front yard.
Tom, Chains to a hitch is scary, and when using line drape a blanket or jacket over the cable, will prevent that whip lash if it broke. It worked not preaching but a little scary.
Andy how did the scouts like the museum? When I was a kid we stayed at the YMCA in Washington and my only real memory was the water balloons that we threw out the window on a couple making out in a convertible below.
Went to Bantam, CT yesterday afternoon to get a hot dog. No dog the place was closed for repairs. I guess that the winter was ruff on the place this year. So shot over to Mario's Restaurant in Winstead,CT. Great food.

Thanks John, probably should have put something over that cable. What's wrong with chaining to the hitch?
In other news, another dealer got back to me. And you guys were right, CT trailer is expensive! They wanted $2,499 for a Big Tex 35SA-RX trailer. A dealer in Tilton, NH just quoted me $1,999 for the same trailer.
I've been a jeeper for a long time and driving in mud and threw the woods and streams. You have no idea of how many times and chain has slipped off a hitch ball. And in every case they swear that there was no way that it would come off. Yet the results can be every thing from a broken window to someone getting killed in the vehicle. Just facts not preaching.
When my son first thought of going and getting a trailer. I started looking on line and made a couple calls. CT for what ever reason has been hire. Even looking at used there seems to be this price gouging compared to other stated surrounding us. And there is no real reason for it. < (note this is one of my favorite smiles)

Good to know about the hitch, perhaps I'll find a recovery loop drawbar for next time. And there probably will be a next time knowing me.
Sam at CT trailer is going to be called on his pricing this week, just waiting for a response from two other dealers. Pretty sure I'm gonna be buying this thing, and if they can match the lowest price I'm happy to buy it from them, but somehow I don't think that's gonna happen. The downside is that surge brakes are an expen$ive thing to put on a trailer with an A-frame tongue, the freaking actuator is $600! Looks like I'll be wiring up a brake controller to the old Lincoln, 2,500 lbs is too much for it to stop on its own.
I got a white 94 F250 Turbo IDI, I mostly hang out on the Oilburners.net forum but im branching out, and I like the local sections on FTE, so ill be around a lot more
Hey, glad you stopped in. Hopefully we'll have a chance to do a get together here before too long. Always a good time, and we tend to get food. So, you can't really go wrong there.
Rain this morning and I'm not complaining. I ran my backside off yesterday getting the camper set up, camper in position next to the pad Electric hitched up and the Frig is on. If it didn't rain I would be bringing all the outdoor stuff today, But rain is giving me a rest which I need will get back to work tomorrow.
I'm in when we give a send off to Tom before he goes. Just let me know when.
