Thanks for the birthday wishes guys, and a Happy Birthday Mac even if it is late!!
To tell the truth, it's just another day when it's just you and the 2 dogs, they don't give a hoot about your "days" they just want to be fed and let out every so often, the rest of the time is NAP TIME for them!!!!!!
Fuzzy kiddo's make any day special. It's what they're for...
Happy B-Day, birthdays seem to be migrating right through here all of a sudden.
I went to school with Greasers personally, I didn't meet anyone actually mob connected until I got stationed on the east coast towards the end. One of them actually offered to make my wife disappear when he heard about her. Under the circumstances I thought that was very generous of them at the time.
Y'all beware, there's one heck of a cold or flu bug going around. I got it, and felt just plain awful all day.
Still, I got another project out of the way when a set of adapter lines showed up in the mail:
Das neuer Schwann faucet set ~
Made by Peerless, I couldn't resist the upgrade. The set came to $39 and I had to get new lines to connect it.
Much nicer looking, more compact to clean around the base, and 1/4 turn taps. It also rises a bit higher so there's more room under it.
Tomorrow everything is coming off the counter top so I can attack it with cleanser and bleach. That blue color is from the slightly longer than usual aerator screen - I picked up a set that have a small generator and LED lights inside that change color according to the water temperature. Blue below 43 C, at 44 C they turn green, and when the water is hotter they turn red and even flash red when it's very hot
*My water heater is set to the green zone. If I want boiling water I have a kettle
I took my time with the install, letting the sealer I put around some parts (clear silicone) set up for a few hours, else it would have been done in less than an hour. It came complete with a new drain and pop-up stopper so I basically gutted the entire sink and rebuilt it.
'Been looking for a source of those for a while, they came in a pair for about $8 online at Amazon. If you decide to get a set of them read the reviews carefully because there is an outfit calling itself VIPMALL who will flat out send you the wrong stuff and you will be stuck with it.
