~ Because doing it over every month is too much hassle for lazy folk such as my ownself!
NOW - January seem to be done with, so lets roll on...
* and Lord help us if February has its usual surprises
I dunno if it's just me, but do you get that too? That if bad weather is going to happen February is going to have it?
I dread the second month of each year...
February (its not even spelled like we say it - Febawary) will throw in a warm day or 2 and we get too ready for good weather, then an ice storm will come out of Canada and leave our power off for weeks. Money time for TVA/MLGW linemen.
Well ya know - sometimes we barrel right along, other times it gets kinda slow. I noticed a lot of chapters tend to have either a single chat thread or a year long one, Texas has a chat thread that, well, they say everything is big in Texas...
Theirs is miles long!
I put a link in the weather log book thread to an animated satellite image of the eastern weather patterns that I hope is useful, I find it fascinating. You can see the size, direction, and relative speed of movement of large air masses. Also get an idea of how much potential precipitation is in them...
I used to watch them like a hawk when I was in Virginia because of the Hurricane season. As we move through "FEBAWARRA" I'll be looking for clues about warm weather and planting time. Seems I was right to disregard the early daffodil sprouts - we ain't out of winter by a long shot.
Cold and damp is worse than cold and windy . At least on my bones .... Uncle Author set in a few years ago . So I do not care for any cold now . Use to not bother me .
I don't know about me. It's always bothered me. It is getting harder to handle though. If I wear thick socks or insulated boots, it makes it worse. My feet will sweat and get really cold.
