The inboard cylinders on each side share a coolant passage. (?)

Same with a Ford flathead exhaust outlets, V8 with three exhaust outlets for each side

Easiest quick check is continuity meter, remove wire from glowplug & check continuity between glowplug terminal & block, use diode setting on multimeter, should beep, this doesn't garuantee that they are heating properly, but it will pick out the ones that are definetly bad without removing all of them, drove IDI for 12 yrs, we have 3 only pulled them to check them once, use this method religously & have no problem with starts 6 out of 8 will get you started, #8 on IDI Turbo is MF so we don't even bother with it
