Evening gents! Hey, I have a question for y'all: what are the general guidelines for automotive painting? Primer, 2 coats and a clear coat or? And do cheap paint guns work for a simple job that compares with rattle cans or? Eastwood has them, so does harbor freight... Tips, trick, experiences you're willing to share?

Could a current paint job be sanded lightly, rust touched up with primer and use that as a base?

I want to go with one of the original ford colors such as Dark Jade, it would have to be mixed, who is good about getting the color correct at a decent price? How much would I need for all of this?

based on what I am learning from the experienced folks......like here, you and Don........This guy knows what he is doing. His oven is big enough for a F-350 frame. 24 ft long. His business has been here for over 20 years, has a great Rep all around this area.

Morning Don.

Possible truck problems! ABS light came on Wednesday. Yesterday on my way home from the farm I felt and heard a new noise coming from the drivers front hub/brake/bearing area... When I can hear a noise over the Powerstroke it's probably a bit more serious than normal.

After work today I think I better see what's going on.
