Morning guys. Don, came home Saturday night, with water in the basement. Had a plumber come to snake it, it was around midnight, and he calls, he's stuck up the street, it was snowing pretty good. Took Black up there with a chain, and since his van had NO tread on the rear tires, I had to pull him to the house, and pull him out of the nieghborhood when he was done.
It backed up again on Monday, so had it snaked again, and they had a guy out yesterday with a camera, that can go down the drains. Turns out, the pipe was still partially clogged, and our septic was also backing up. So, had the septic company come out to drain the tank, and then they cleaned the pipes out. Hopefully we're good to go. What a pain in the ***!
Sounds fun................NOT! At least you didn't have to do it. I take care of the whole sewer system and water system here at the radar base. Can be challenging at times......
Contemplating buying the "blueberry", a 1978 ford f-150. Grandpa offered to buy it for me so... Need to get my uncle out there to look at it and see what all needs to be done. Gives me $1900 to put into it.
Geeesh I wish you would have got to my buddies shop before he scrapped the whole place,
Really sad part of that, I was up there last week, the shop is now just a big hole in the ground. All that equipment went to shop heaven for nothing

78 is a good year truck. Depending the power plant, you could have a nice economical fairly modern truck!
Not what I wanted to hear. I was sad when you got rid of all your "stuff".......
Still looking for a surface grinder and a vertical mill. Just to pricy around here...
Surface grinders here in the east are a dime a dozen. $500 gives you a pretty nice Queen City machine that will do a flywheel.shipping would probably cost as much as the grinder tho

Not really "economical" by standards, but thats the fun of it!
400 4 spd with 3.55 gives about 12-16 mpg if driven "smartly"
I have better luck with the 400 than I do out of the 460 here.
