I'll be in and out for a while. I have a walk through to do with one new renter, and have to show another rental to somebody else. It's been a busy day........
Are you going to fit everything first and then strip and blast and paint the frame?
That's the plan Don. I have it all cleaned up to bare metal where the boxing plates go. Will need to apply some type of paint before the plates get welded in.
I certainly agree with you with the hope it's not the axle's U-joint! However, a far-worse job would be to replace that axle's differential oil seal! Not fun at all!
Good to hear that you do the maintenance on the hubs. That might help eliminate the usual problems associated with them.

Thanks Marv... I see that my sausage fingers got the best of me while I was replying earlier today on my phone.
I spend just enough time over in the 1999-2003 7.3 forum to know a little bit about what's going on.
Great day here, wife and I went to the gun show, then across the parking lot to the home-garden show..............I got a goody at the gun-show, and the wife spent some $$ on redwood planter boxes.
Then we came home and had the first BBQ of the year, in 65* sunshine on the deck........A good day indeed.
