And like Larry said, depends on what part of the state you're looking to move.
lol main thing i know about NC they dont tax military retirement. supposedly yalls taxes are cheaper.. gas costs more.. and yall are a PIMA for me to do my current job cuz of yalls laws.. lol
What is your current job? I will say that as far as my knowledge serves me, NC currently has the best Concealed Carry laws (not counting Alaska or other Constitutional carry states) of the country. Basically as long as it ain't a govt building and you are not actually consuming alcohol, you can carry.

I do debt collection... (mostly medical) only way i can garn anyone there in NC is if they have a "branch" somewhere in VA.. Florida is a little worse with that as they have more laws to protect debtors with.. We would essentially have to hire an attorney's firm there to collect Judgment there in order to do any garnishments... only time we get around that is if they work for the gooberment..
People come here and have surgery done.. then expect not to have to pay for it... or expect just because their insurance covers everything in another state they expect it to do the same when they go out of state.. which is rarely the case. If its not surgical its dental.. Same thing is usually there too.. Go to have stuff done then dont want to pay for it...
not my choice of profession.. but do what ya gotta do sometimes..
Thought I'd chime in real quick.
Surgery went good yesterday, doctor said on a scale of 1 to 10 for the amount of damage from the arthritis, she'd give it an 8 or 9. Guess waiting two years took it's toll. I'm not much of a fan for doctor offices, or hospitals, though I do tend to end up there anyway.
