Just looks to me like a BS thread where some guy pops in occasionally and updates on what little he is getting done to his old work truck!
Now Aaron's thread.... That one will be glamorous when he starts getting that thing put together. Even more so once he gets his trans squared away...
I'm already missing my ol dependable good running piece.
I may save all these stock parts just in case I go back stock...
Thomas.I will POST a pic in this thread later with what bill did to the one I took off.. Lots of parts for Josh's truck piling up...and he doesn't even know :-)
As much fun as it would be to turn the truck back to stock, I don't have the room to keep the parts. And since I would never plan on selling the truck, I'll run it till she can't run no more, then fix her again.
Parts piling up is an understatement here. I'm running out of open places to put them all!

They are reproducing here..now others a f-sd wrecker in my shop stopping me from my truck.

Well much to my suprise, checked the tracking on my packages this morning, and it looks like they will be here today, insted of tomorrow. Nothing wrong with that!
Actually got some sleep last night, which was nice, now if the rest of the symptoms would go away (scratchy throat, drippy nose, all that crap) I can get on with this project.
Well congrats on your package arrival, always nice to get something sooner than you expected! Just gotta take your vitamin C and you'll kick this soon Thomas!
Well, surprisingly enough, talking about sleep, I fell asleep last night without setting my alarm, and my internal alarm clock woke me up just in time to get dressed and make it to formation. Which is a first, usually my internal clock hits the snooze button a few times!
Well, making very slow progress, but moving forward bone the less. I will say, the up Pipe job is not for the faint of heart. But first some pics.
As you can see, leaks everywhere!!
The passenger side up pipe. Pretty sooty Ironic enough I could still hit over 20 PSI boost, curious to see how much it improves with the new pipes.
On recommendation from Aaron, I picked up one of these for the up pipe bolts. The 6 point box end gives a sure grip on the bolts, my only complaint is the tough angles make it difficult to get torque on the bolts. However, though difficult, there really isn't any easier way.
Also got the pedestal apart, I'm going to delete it while its out of the truck. It's leaking oil from the solenoid, just looking forward to having it back together.
I have sprung a coolant leak somewhere, looks like the thermostat housing. I was planning on replacing the coolant anyways so I'll address that when I do the coolant.
Looks like you're making some progress, Thomas. Keep up the good work. You'll be glad you did.
I have to admit I have never seen a 6 point box end wrench. I didn't know there was such a thing, but I can see where it would really be helpful for the up pipe job. The bolts on that collector are a pain in butt to get onto whether the engine is in the truck or not. Not for the faint of heart, indeed.
