They seem all basically the same. It's just what they include and what you have to buy extra.
As far as handling, most kits are going to make your truck ride rough and well, handle like it does now, a truck. The lift springs in the front give it a harsh ride, and then when you add the heavy oversize tires and rims, that makes it ride even worse.
At a minimum, you will need the drop brackets, lift springs, longer shocks and dropped pitman arm. The cheapest kits include lift blocks for the stock rear springs.

What do you mean by drop brackets? I'm writing from down in Australia and our terminology differs a little to yours in the states. Im told for a 4 inch lift I'll need to flip my tie rod ends and as far as the pitman arm I'll have to fabricate something(right hand drive pitman slightly different) I'm currently looking at the super lift kit and modifying the super runner steering kit for my RHD truck. Or. The bds kit and adding the extras I need

I've always had good luck with BDS as far as fit and quality, and going with springs tends to ride better than add a leaf or blocks. Though I do see that they do not recommend it for oil burners.

Rough Country shows a similar kit that says is ok for Diesels, I have installed a couple of their kits as well, not horrible, but I still prefer BDS for quality.

This center pivot will have to be lowered 4 inches. For that you need new longer frame brackets that will have the holes lower. You are basically keeping the suspension in the same relationship, you are just lowering the center pivot, and also lowering the leaf spring point 4 inches to raise the frame up. The original springs bow upwards in the middle, the lift springs will bow down in the middle, giving you the 4 inch lift.
You do not need to reverse the tie rods. If you study that also, you will see the whole system is mounted by the spindles at the wheels, and the pitman arm. When the spindles are dropped down 4 inches by the brackets and springs, the linkage will go down with it. But you do need to lower where it mounts to the steering box, since the steering box is going to stay up high on it's original frame mount. To do that you need a dropped pitman arm. I have never done it before on a RHD truck, but I do not see why a regular dropped pitman arm for a LHD truck would not work on yours, unless the spline count is different or something.

Thanks mate, that was really helpful. It is a U.S. built truck, I bought it at pomona swap meet in 2010 and we converted it with a RHD donor truck. Could you point me in right direction as to who does a kit for the ttb diesel? I kept hitting dead ends with kits being either SOLID AXLE f250s or there for ttb Broncos, which I'm sure work but I doubt are heavy enough. Or will the bronco ttb kit carry the extra weight ok?

This looks like the kit on mine. And they say it fits the diesels.
4in Suspension Lift Kit for 80-86 Ford 4wd F-250 Pickup [490-80-86.20] | Rough Country Suspension Systems
I see;
Two front springs for 4 inch lift
Two dropped brackets for the center pivot.
4 longer shocks
blocks and longer u-bolts for the rear.
a dropped pitman arm
And some other little brackets, they might be for moving the brake line brackets and the lines down. You can either do that or buy longer brake lines.
P.S. I am not sure what those little brackets are for. If you download the instructions you may find out. I looked in the component list and they have "track bar brackets" listed, but ttb's don't use a trackbar.
