Dude.....we've already been through this. You will need: Radius arm drop brackets, track-bar drop bracket and adjustable track bar, along with complete C-bushing/radius arm bushing/track-bar bushing set.

That's is only what is required to hang the front axle. To steer it, you will need (at minimum) an EXTREME drop pitman arm(most pitman arms are only a 1.5 inch drop). A better solution would be a normal drop pitman arm, combined with steering linkage from bulletproofsteering.com. And while you're at it, don't forget the shocks and extended brake lines.

For the rear, you will need either a taller block, add-a-leaf, or shackle flip. Pick any two and combine them. OR, buy replacement leaf springs.

This does not even take into account the other mods required...such as driveshafts ect....

What you don't seem to understand is the coils are one of the LEAST EXPENSIVE COMPONENTS!! Just because you have a set of 6" coils doesn't mean you gonna be able to lift it for under $1000. So either QUIT YOUR WHINING and spend the cash...... or get some of that square tubing you had left over from your homemade body lift, and make your own ghetto fabbed mess. And after you're finished, submit it to scary steering. Just make sure to paint all of your parts some neon color first......

Hell yeah hillbilly, get him. Seriously, the cheapest way you'll get away lifting it is a body lift, but those are for mall crawlers. Next cheapest option is going with a 4" lift with rear blocks, this way nothing will need to be extended, however the rear blocks are terrible. So the next option is 4" lift springs all the way around, and you can choose from cheap lifts starting at the $750 mark like rough country...or upwards of 1500 from Deaver. The last route, you get what you pay for though...they're called ROUGH country for a reason. If you want a lift, pay for it.

I hate to be rude to you....but you asked this same question last week. I tried to explain nicely that you were gonna need a lot more than coils. But, you didn't like what I had to say about your home made body lift...... so I guess you didn't believe what I had to say about your springs either.

Mitch, I'm gonna say this as nicely as possible. You don't seem to understand the economics of lift kits. For example, you don't save any money by "building your own" body lift from steel tubing. The lift blocks cost next to nothing. They are made of plastic. Your steel tubing will cost more. The cost of a body lift is NOT in the lift blocks. It comes from all the HARDWARE!! You cannot go to your local hardware store and buy all of the bolts for less than what it cost to buy the entire body lift!! By the time you make a steering shaft extension and all of the other little brackets that's included in the kit, you will have spent TWICE as much money trying to make the kit yourself.... vs. just buying one in a box.

The same applies to suspension lifts. Coil springs are cheap. It's all of the little things that add up. And yes, it does add up to over $1000. If you wanna do it cheap, then get a cheap 4 inch lift kit. You're correct, 704. With a 4 inch, you can get by without dropping everything. But a 6 inch requires so much more.
Lift kit cost is not directly proportionate to the amount of lift. What this means is: A 6 inch lift will cost you about 3 times as much money as a 4 inch. I know the actual kit may not cost that much more. But there are so many things that are required that are not included in the kit. And keep in mind you're still getting off easy. It cost me about $2500 to get all the stuff to lift my 2005. And I STILL need to drop about about another $1500 just for some decent shocks. So quit your complaining..... you've got it easier than you think.

Well 9 trucks isn't too bad. I have had over 30 different vehicles and I'm 24. I lost count about 2 years ago. I will buy almost any vehicle once and if I like it I keep it if not I sell it. I tend to keep Fords and sell everything else but I do have a 70 VW Beetle, a 92 Nissan 240sx, and an 06 KIA Spectra daily driver but I lean towards Ford.

I don't care about if it's American or not. I love my Fords but my Nissan was my first insured and plated vehicle. My first vehicle ever was an 85 S-10 4cyl 5 speed but I just drove it around our property. I don't intend to sell my first real car. The VW is a father son project. My KIA gets 40 MPG so I can't really complain. I still have my 76 F100 and 73 Gran Torino so I'm happy.

I love my Torino too! Mine is a station wagon but it had no problem beating a Honda CRX SI with lots of mods up and down hill. Mine is a factory 351C.
