Also, i dont mind the spending up to 1100 for a good lift if i need to.
I just really dont want to spend more than that. Will i need a drop pitman arm or a carrier bracket??

yes you will need both the pitman arm and the carrier shim/bracket.

spring for a better quality kit that includes everything you need..

from my expereince in the past rough country makes pretty low end stuff. i bet those springs ride harsh...

theres plenty of quality kits out there, so keep shopping..

Do some searching on Icon (aka Donahe). They get a lot of positive feedback for not being as incomplete, poor quality, or poor riding as most lift kits.

As a general note, if a company sells "optional" components to go with their lift kit (like dropped pitman arms, track bar relocators, shocks, etc), that means you really should do that. But they leave them out of the kit for "marketing" reasons. IE, it makes them cheaper to sell.

At 4", you need to address the drag link and track bar angles/lengths or you will end up with binding/wear/bump steer issues. If any of those words don't make sense to you, please do more research before pulling the trigger on a lift kit.
Bottom line, any time you re-engineer a suspension, you WILL change the way it behaves. To avoid disappointment or danger, please do the research and understand the likely repercussions of your decisions.

I put a Superlift 4" kit with Bilstein shocks on my 2002 F350 7.3L 4x4 CC SB SRW and I was very impressed with the ride quality. Better than stock in my opinion.

just to let you know a dual shock setup will make your truck ride rougher..

a single quality shock is all you need for such a small lift/tire combo..

but your call in the end...

I was wondering the same thing. Wheel wells must have been stuffed or the truck had fender cut outs

I have an 01 2WD, and I had a 4 inch lift kit installed on my truck. I went with a Fabtech kit. My truck rides just about as nice as it did before the lift. I think you would be happy with a Fabtech. Here is a link to their home page, and then you can navigate through their site. Good luck.
