There's a picture of where the nos runs into the intake. Check it out again. The Airaid intake already came with a hole there. The hole was originally designed for the valve breather hose, but I took that off and put a K&N valve breather filter in the valve cover hole and stuck the nos into the hole in the Airaid. You're intake doesn't like sucking in that oil and burnt fumes anyway and will give you more horsepower in itself.
As far as the smoking tires. They don't smoke anymore, since the Auburn LSD. One tire will squeek a bit and then the other will hook right up...even in the rain. Kinda sucks actually but more traction is better, even if it's not as much fun.
I'm pretty sure that once I drop the 2600 rpm torque converter in, i'll be able to spin both of them pretty good. The converter is expensive so that's going to be a while.
I'm pretty mellow on the street. Mostly because I beat the heck out of my truck once a week at the track. so I try to baby it as much as possible outside the track. You'll pretty much catch me in the slow lane on the highway doing about 60 - 65 mph. If I really want to go fast on the street, I take out my 2003 Suzuki Huyabusa GSX1300R and run it up to 189 mph. At that speed, Police officer no longer exists in Webster's dictionary!!!
Yeah, you stick shift guys got it easy. Us auto guys have the extra weight, one less gear, and are forced to upgrade to a higher stall converter as well as the 4.10 gears. All these extra costs....ON TOP OF THE 1000.00 EXTRA I PAID FOR THE AUTO.
So why the auto you might ask??? Well, I've always had stick, and down here in good ol' crowded-as-heck South Florida, you spend 85% of your time sitting in parking-lot traffic. Stop and go, stop and go, stop and go, stop and go, for hours at 15 mph. And I got so sick and tired of clutch brake gas, clutch brake gas, all the time, that I told myself that my next vehicle was going to be an automatic.
No nice driving down here like they show in the commercials of trucks driving up and down hills and cornering around lonely empty single lane roads.....that's all advertising bologna!
Down here???? I just can't do the stick think anymore man.
I'll always own a stick shift vehicle. I don't care if it's a friggin' Expedition, it's gonna be a stick if it's mine! I'm too sold on it already. I'm just that way though...really picky when it comes to what I want.
Every sense I got my first stick, which was my third vehicle....Ive been hooked. I tell you what though, If I could have my 84 Bronco back, it was sweet. 350 auto with 2 inch lift, 33's, and some sick exhaust...
You know, irregardless, my truck didn't even have the option for stick shift.
The Sport option I got came standard with Auto. If I wanted stick, then I couldn't get the sunroof and captains chairs and all that extra stuff I wanted.
Ah the heck with it..............TORQUE CONVERTER....HERE I COME!!!!!!!!
I have some secret tips I want to share with you personally.
Tom
Explanation for edit: please do not post e-mail addresses in threads. This is NOT an item just to be a jerk about. There are programs that "surf the web" and somehow access public forums looking for e-mail addresses. If they find your address, bingo! you start getting spam. Not only that, they come back to the forum later looking for more e-mail addresses. This in turn, ties up the surver and more folks get "server busy" messages.
Don't ask me how these things work...I don't know...
I'm glad to see guys hooking up and communicating back-and-forth. Just keep your e-mail addresses hidden in you user profile.
Thanks for understanding.
