The starter thats shot? It baearly turns the truck over. The truck was going to go to a diesel shop to see why it would not start. The tow truck driver asked what engine was in it and we told him. He said he could get it running in 20 mins. He got it running in 20 mins by pop starting it in 3rd gear well being towed behind the tow truck. I took video of it. Sorry if i am showing the ground.
Its not my batteries those are brand new from NAPA. The wire that is white on the starter is melted and burned its sopesed to be black and the starter was still HOT more then the truck was after 2 hours.
My understanding: if your wires/terminals are corroded, you will get fewer volts to the starter. That will cause it to draw more current. The increased current will melt all sorts of things.
