I am selling the truck and trailer. I don't have any money to take care of any emergencies like mechanical breakdowns, or what not, and taking long drives with no "emergency fund" was beginning to stress me out. The last straw was the last trip I took and had two flat tires within hours of each other. One tire was brand new and went bad, the other tire had plenty of tread on it, and also went bad. So, I am taking that as a warning to get out of the business. So I am putting the truck/trailer up for sale, and looking for a job locally.

I think that is probably for the best, Jim. I was a little worried for you for the reasons you've given. The potential for disaster seemed pretty high to me.
Yeah, common sense finally prevailed. I need the money, but I was not making enough to make it worth it, and having to pay for a tire doesn't help the profit margin. The trailer tire that went bad was brand new and covered by Les Schwab's road hazard warranty, so that was free. Both tires did not run over anything, they just let go. The trailer tire was the right rear, and if it had run over something the front tire would have too. But there were not signs of a puncture in the tread. Front truck tire had good tread, but was destroyed beyond recognition so I could not be 100% sure it ran over something or not. Both of them were properly inflated, so I have no idea what caused them to fail. Luckily, I had a spare for each one, but it got me thinking about having a mechanical failure. And that is when I decided to just sell the truck and trailer. I am hoping to get enough out of the sale of both to pick up a 4x4 Ranger and pay a few months rent. I will see if I can transport ATV's and/or motorcycles in the bed of the Ranger. I will just have to make sure I keep some money aside for emergencies. This all assumes I can even fit into a Ranger. The last one I checked out a few months back was too cramped for me. However, it was a standard cab with a 5 speed manual trans. Maybe if I look for one with the extended cab I can get the seat to move back far enough that I can operate the gas pedal with my right foot. And of course, it has to be an auto trans. I don't have much confidence in my ability to snag a job though. I have been out of work since Sept 2010, and am in even worse condition now with my bad knee, and hip. Maybe I should re-apply for Social Security Disability and see what happens there.
