Reminds me of my honeymoon with the first one in Mexico.
She saw one of those on the wall and was horrified.
The hotel staff didn't understand the problem.
Was funny as hell.
Ya haha, I'm makin some ceviche to have a snack while I enjoy some even adding some of my Scorpion peppers.
Speaking of peppers this weekend is the Oxnard Salsa festival, I've gone the past 2 years and it's pretty cool, don't think i'll be going this time though
somedays your the bug and somedays your the windshield..... last 3 days ive been the bug....
last saterday i was out in lake los angeles area working and was hearing a grinding noise, look around see nothing obvious. after a busy and hectic week sofar. today the noise got BAD! and the truck would not coast backwards. so i narrow it down to rear brakes. come to find out i roached the left rear rotor and inner pad.... steel to steel.
new pads and new rotors in the rear, just finished the repair. kinda a unexpected expense, but it was my fault for letting it go for so long.. i knew they were due when i did my last oil change and tire rotation/brake inspection.
last 3 days ive been battling a intermittent misfire/ stall problem. figured it was my cam position sensor and swapped in my spare, no dice.... then today truck runs great! ( yes i did pick up a new CPS from ford today)
after work i get to my friends house asap to scan the truck with his snap-on scanner.
there was some codes i knew about a few that i think are new. clear all codes and go home truck still running good. then tonight on my way back home doing a test drive after finishing the brake job the sonofabitch starts misfiring again and stalled a few time, all of which would correct its self with a restart of the engine and a soft check engine light (only stay lit for about a minute or two then go out).
on a side note it is sure interesting to try restart the truck while in motion, kicking it into neutral while trying to wrestle full mechanical brakes and steering, thankfully i am not a steering wheel holder/ appliance operator and can man handle a dead vehicle in motion ( yes i went there....)
so my plan as of now is to sit down with my list of codes and enjoy the fine cool air that the window shaker is putting out tonight ( it was a scorcher today!) and do lotts and lotts of research tonight on this diesel pig. and tomorrow hope it gets me to my 2 service calls ok and then back to friends house to play with the scanner and maybe swing some wrenches and fix the dang thing
