Gauge cluster compatability question
Anyone know if a gauge cluster from a powerstroke will work with an older IDI? At some point someone put a gasser cluster into my 93 F350, and half the gauges and the tach dont work. Id like to replace it w/ a diesel cluster, but pickings are pretty slim for the IDI around here. Lots of powerstroke parts trucks tho. So any ideas? Thanks for the help!

Should be the same, '92-'97. The segments of the cluster are removeable / interchangeable, too. If the speedo/odo work, I would keep your cluster, and just swap in the segments that don't work from the cluster you buy. That way you retain the odometer mileage. Tach is the only difference between the two, that and the "DIESEL FUEL ONLY" admonition on the fuel gauge.
Hey, I'm right down the road. Check craigslist; dude in Fort Atkinson has some OBS parts (currently has an ad for a gasser front fuel tank). There's a young guy in Waterford, about 1.5 hr drive, always coming into OBS trucks to part out; got a barn full of stuff.
