Dash Cluster
Guys, my 94 F150 has the gauge cluster with no tach. Is it possible to switch gauge clusters and retain the correct mileage? Or is it possible just to switch them?

Are you asking if a new gauge cluster with a tach can be installed and maintain the original miles on the odometer?
and/or can a tach be installed in the original cluster?

You need to get a complete cluster from a 94-95 with a tach and just swap your existing speedo (including PSOM) into it.

i just did this to my 93 f150 all you need to do is pry the oil and temp gauge out first and then the fuel and volts gauge out. the speedo is last. do the same to the new cluster . then you put your original speedo in the new new cluster and then the tach and the fuel and oil gauge then the temp and fuel gauge. and then just put it all back in the truck. hope this helps!

Thanks guys, that's definately a big help. I wasn't even sure it could be done.
sm, yes, that's what I was asking. I just want to put another cluster in.
McLeod, where is the PSOM? Is it on the cluster itself? I've had them out several times, but just for changing light bulbs.
Kenny, Thanks for the insight. I'll give it a go.

Oh yeah, so that means the tach signal is already there, just no gauge. Right?

The wires are already in your harness. It is plug & play, get your model years . The 92-93 cluster will not work.

It's the electronic circuit board attached to back of speedo. It retains the milage.
