For the dash lights are you getting power through the small fuse in the fuse panel? Is like a 3 amp. The door switch, with the door open rotate the little **** part of the switch that touches the door while pulling it out lightly. Sometimes the get a little build up inside the switch. For the flasher I would try a regular one for 2 bulbs and see if it doesn't speed them up. I've replaced lots of the parking and tail lamp assemblies on these due to corrosion. Usually have them at the parts places.

I haven't had much time to continue testing the dash lights, or work on it much at all anyway, but I did take some new photos for your viewing pleasure!

Damn fine looking truck if I may say so. Looks good out in the natural environment that these trucks were built for. (I like the action shot of the dog especially )

Well, I ordered my Luk clutch kit and discovered that Napa will resurface my Flywheel for $30. The parts should arrive on Thursday!!! Which is good, because the clutch shutters a little when taking off in second gear, and the noises are getting worse.

Also, I noticed that the truck is leaking oil down the back side of the oil pan and the front side of the bell housing. Seems like it is coming from the connection between the engine and clutch area. (non-technical terms I guess). Anyway, I am concerned that when I go to pull this a part, I will not be able to put it back together in a timely fashion. So, I want to try to prepare for what it might be. Any ideas?

Last, The girlfriend and I went on out first little adventure in the truck and took some photos. Enjoy!

That leak is probably the rear main seal on the oil pan.

Yea, we have a lot of deer, but even more elk. The ranch I work at is an outfitter for elk hunting. It is amazing out here during rut!

Can I address it after the clutch without taking the whole thing apart again? I'll take some photos with it apart and post them while the flywheel is being resurfaced. It's definitely not a big leak.

I see you're in the Springs. I'm from Denver, but going to school in McPherson Kansas. I'll be driving my truck home next week for summer. Looking forward to the drive, but not the gas bill.

If it is just the oil pan leaking its no big deal. If it is the rear main seal you would be wise to repair while the tranny is out. I have never attempted to replace a rear main with tranny installed. Not sure it can be done. It MAY be possible to loosen all the caps and remove rear cap and fish new seal in but I honestly doubt it.
