It has been there for at least the last 40k miles if not since the truck rolled out of Centurion vehicles. Maybe its not a K&N, but if it hasn't wiped it out yet, would it all of the sudden?
Can you explain? I have an indicator that tells me when to clean it.
What happens is, the filter panel does not fit in the box correctly, and dirty air gets around the filter and ruins the turbo.
The filter itself filters just fine, but when air bypasses it, you're looking for trouble.
What I do is use the spongy foam window sealer to fill the gap around the complete perimeter, and then put the filter in and put lid on.
The best way is to get an oil analasys (I like Schaeffer) and they can tell you how well your air filter is working. Weird that they can tell by an oil sample, but they can give an approximation with how much silicone is in there.
It also give you a great baseline for oil changes and how well your engine is wearing.
327,000 miles. Back seat has only been sat in about ten times, since we got it. Original owner and PO literally never ever used it. Original engine and tranny Original paint too!
Nice truck looking truck Avid I had a new windshield put in my truck about a month ago. It's awesome looking thru that thing after you have had a cracked and sand blasted windshield for so long. Make sure you throw some new wipers on it.
Tech I love the color of your truck my dad had a 90 the same color and it was cool looking at it from different angles during the day and under the fluorescent light in parking lots at night
Any body know where to get rear door panels, crew cab interior trim and headliner and carpet. I ordered the lmc catalog but that doesn't have much in it for the crews.
