You NEVER pick a vehicle with a full frame up by the pinch weld; the chassis won't even budge! Had to pick up in front of the crossmember and on the rear leaf mounts.

We've had two post lifts at all the places I've worked at. The lift I have at work now is asymmetrical, so you only have to pull the vehicle in about as far as the side view mirrors. Makes it easier to get in and out of the vehicles.

Ive done everything with jacks and jackstands. Id love to have a lift one day.

Do you think a 2 or 4 post is better?

A lift at home is one of my many goals in life.

Two posts are definitely better, for lighter vehicles, anyway. Four post lifts lift the vehicle by the wheels, then you can use air jacks on the lift to lift the vehicle off the wheels. Two post lifts take up less space and don't get in the way like four post lifts do.

I really like in-ground two post lifts. They take up almost no space.

Inground 2 post definitely looks to be the way to go. What does a setup like that run?

Makes sense. A 2 post is probably better for me since 99% of the time I lift a vehicle it needs a tire removed for some odd reason.

I like that you can park another car under a 4 post. Still, the 2 post seems to be the way to go.
