That sucks. I would rather be able to have some inbetween settings as well. It would suck if you were only 5'5" and had to get on your tippy toes to reach the drain plug.
safety code states minimum 4" for 400 sq-ft area.. some building codes will allow variances for bigger to remain at the same thickness depending on your area..

most in grounds ive seen lift to 6'-6.5' when i was under them i was 5'8... the bottom stuff i didnt have a problem with.. but when it came to having to reach around like the transmission or the side of the engine from underneath to get to like a bolt or a plug i just couldnt reach em.. which was annoying.. id have to kick the lock out and lower the lift just enough so i could reach it and hope the super wasnt paying attention...
lots.. lol but current one is getting the 3.5K saved to get it into the body shop.. provided nothing else breaks on it.. would like to have it in by the end of spring..
for the most part it is.. but last spring i yanked the liner off the bed to see how it was fairing...
one of the 2 previous owners either had a load shift or rammed the front bed rail with a fork lift and had shoved it against the cab.. when they "straightened" it back out they used the cab to pry it back in place warping it outta shape too.. which when they did that they busted one of the seam weld on the cab.. so whenever it rains hard enough or long enough the inside of the cab gets soaked in the back...
getting it and a few other spots repainted as well.. theres a couple spots on the bottom of the doors that have some rust spots on the inside.. along with few other paint blemishes... theres also a spot near the exhaust tip on the dually fender where the diesel soot someone had left to etch into the paint.. tried everything to get it off thinking it was just on the surface.. but its literally etched into it.. and think someones cleared over it too..
welded... theyre just going to cut the spot welds and replace the panels.. they said they werent worth the effort of pounding them out.. (which i agree)... nice thing is ill be bringing those to them to save some $$$.. since i can get them cheaper than he can..
my suspicion is that it was the first owner but cant be 100%.. first owner bought the truck for commercial use.. 2nd owner i think had it for personal use.. but the 2nd owner didnt do any maint what so ever to it.. which has been part of my problem this year.. ive been doing all that maint they didnt and also dealing with the repercussions from that the lack of maints caused..
