Tim, RE lift: Ford dealer near me in NY put in a asymmetrical lift and had to pour another pad on top of the existing floor to get the required depth for fastening. Weird set up as you drive up to position the vehicle. Don't know why the didn't just do some digging....
You would be surprised how cheap people are when it comes to concrete work.
Sad thing, the 2nd layer of concrete gives them the depth, but is not the strength needed
