Lets hook up the 5'er and make a trip down there. We could delete it and test drive it and drink all the beer before Doug gets home! Seriously though, when you do it you are gonna ask us if we switched trucks on you, so different.
Haha I knew somebody was bound to make a comment about the crocs. Thing is when you spend close to a year wearing combat boots, it's nice to have an easy on and off where your feet can breathe.

Maybe I don't understand your idea, but i don't think I would ever trade trucks with Adrian after he has had a chance to "do a little off road trial with his."
LOL. I finally took off my DEF tank and the connections that come with it. I can breathe a little sigh of relief that I don't ever have to worry about putting DEF in my fuel tank by mistake. In general once you remove the DPF and DEF tank there is a TON more room underneath the truck to just do general looking around and maintenance.
Only involved a few fasteners, then pull hoses and then all the standoffs along the passenger side frame rail until you can pull the whole tank and all the hoses leading up to and including the injector, off.
When I remove my urea tank, I'm thinking of replacing the tiny short bed diesel tank with a 35gallon tank of a short bed gas truck, I ***-u-me they are plug and play.
I also like the idea of running the exhaust outside the frame rail on the passenger side (dumping it just before the rear tire), and fitting another 35gallon tank on the passenger side frame rail.
You can go with a 50 gallon Titan Tank, but what I wonder if the 67 gallon would fit due to the DEF tank not being there anymore. I know it would be super tight, but I wonder if it could be done. Also Titan Tanks makes a 35 gallon fuel tank that goes where the spare tire goes, if that interest you. I too am annoyed at how small these fuel tanks are. I think my range right now is at only around 300. I don't mind paying 150 plus to fill the tank up, I just want the range.
Riden,
It took me all of 20 minutes to undue the filler neck, undue the bolts and the connections. There are electrical connections that I had a tough time with but eventually got them. The injector can also be completely removed from the truck as can the wiring harness that simply unplugs from above the tank. Once you remove it, it's like a whole new world underneath the truck. You can access all of your brake lines with ease now, I was able to actually sit indian style under mine with my head tilted a little bit and i'm 6'3.
