It's gonna be good to go man! I'll tell you, after you turn the DPF off and EGR Cooler off, the truck just seems to "rumble" a little bit more. I did the whole plug in tuner, install tune, then at the end it tells you to start the truck and when I did I noticed that it was a little bit "meaner". Then once I got done removing the DPF and EGR, man does it roar. I saw my truck today and it made me really miss driving it. I had a whole like day trip for me and the wife before the whole fuel injector issue popped up. Just removing the DPF and EGR makes the truck more responsive and DEFINITELY has better acceleration. When I put the low fuel boost on 5 and turned the tune to performance, I gave it a little bit and when the tires broke loose at 50 I got a little bit nervous. But make sure you do a trans relearn once you delete so your transmission can learn how to shift with all the extra power. If you tow also make sure you ONLY use the stock power tune, bad things with your head gasket can happen if you leave it in performance to tow.
Congrats tofan sorry about the bad luck. I too had an issue when I did mine, I broke of one of the bolts for the egr tubes had to get a shop to fix it, 200 bucks but live and learn I guess. I have been deleted a few months now love it. I only did the block plates and egr unplug. Still on the fence with removing the entire cooler.
I'd recommend keeping the parts you take off. You never know when you are going to want to return the truck to stock for whatever reason and it's nice to have the option.
I just donated an EGR cooler to a user on here, just out of warranty, that wanted to stay stock. I can tell you he really appreciated it. Didn't cost me a thing but made his day
I will consider keeping them. I never realized how big the dpf actually is. Also gotta give a shout out to Tousley Ford now White Bear Lake Ford for hooking me up with the injector. His cost even with overnighting a part are still lower then the dealer would charge. Steve doesn't work there anymore but I believe it's Ben is super helpful in locating an injector. For anybody that cares both sets of injectors are a little tough to find right now. Once I give my dealer a call I will know when I will have my truck back.

I wonder why the shortage. It's probably because they are such expensive little pieces of engineering. That combined with relatively low demand makes for a part that a parts department manager has trouble inventorying.
You should watch the injector installation process if you get a chance. Each one has a unique ID and has to be updated in the PCM. It's not like the old days where you swapped out an injector. Now they have to update the truck's software with that injector ID and the PCM "tunes" the part's performance. I think.
You are absolutely correct Epic. I had a chance to talk to the senior master tech, and that's the only reason why I didn't do it myself. There is an IQA code on each injector and they have to use the Ford IDS to program it. I should have my truck tomorrow night with the new right coolant. I will see if they will let me watch and even video it.
This forum is bad for my checking account. This thread inspired me to go ahead and order my Sinister kit. That was the last piece needed to do a complete delete for me. The Sinister kit should be on my front porch within a week.
This forum has cost me ALOT of money!!!!!
It's worth every penny that I have spent though.
Now, I get to spend more money and fix a rubber cap issue
No biggy though, it's part of the game. You have to pay to play.
Yep. I know this be beating a dead horse but definitely get that hose. I fear that someone might not be as lucky as me and be on a long trip when it "fails", and ruins their 50k truck's engine.
Yeah, way too many cool ideas here and none of them seem to be free. My list of things to do gets longer, while my checking balances seem to get smaller. It's hard to stay focused sometimes. I start to budget for something I've seen here that I want to do, but before I have enough saved for that, someone posts pics of something else that's equally cool. Fortunately or unfortunately - I don't have to ask permission to do what I want - just check the budget.
Haha. See now I have what I call a CFO(Chief Financial Officer), which doesn't really the budget or anything, just approves what dollar amount I can spend without her getting angry.
I had to fire mine a few years ago. Sometimes though, I miss asking permission/forgiveness, and getting nagged. She didn't understand the need for toys. I had the income to support it just fine, but she had other ideas.
My CFO is like" What Ever"!!! She is a Nurse and a CPA. She is rough. I get an allowance weekly , so she states.
I let her but quilting stuff and she allows me to buy my toys!!!!
