Nothing recently with the bullnose fleet lol! The Bronco is put away this winter and I've been driving my winter truck. I bought an '01 F150 RCLB 4x4 with a 4.6 auto for 900 bucks. Box was rusted out but I lucked out and got a MINT replacement for 150 bucks at a U Pull yard. A new tank, all new brake lines, rotors, pads, calipers and a U joint it's been a great truck so far and on the road for 1600. Not a bad looker either

I sold the '81 longbed and '86 Flareside to a friend of mine after I bought a foxbody Mustang project to take to the track instead. He's planning on making a 2wd street toy out of the Flareside using parts from both trucks. It should be interesting, he's planning on a 12v Cummins swap with some mods. With that kind of torque in a little wee truck, I think it's going to be hard on tires! Once the snow melts, my two '85s will be coming out for a good thorough wash and wax. The Bronco needs a couple of squeaks and rattles taken care of as well as a windshield wiper bushing (only had drivers side wiper for the summer) and polish the wheels. A good cleaning up top and bottom plus some TLC I'll be posting pics. I know it's not a car forum, but just for fun here's a couple pics for everyone - one from when I bought it and one current.

It's a '91 Mustang LX Coupe. Was a 2.3 4 holer with a 5 speed when I got it. prompltly tore that out and sold the driveline. It's tore down to a shell now. I'm building a street legal race car out of it basically. Will be getting a cage and a 460 based stroker with a built C6

My first post in far too long. Figured i'd post a couple updates to the Bronco.

First up, I did a SAS with a D44 out of a '79 Bronco. The TTB had served its time and was in need of ball joints and pivot bushings so rather than replace those, I opted for a SAS. Some guys will slam me for ditching the TTB, others will praise me for it but all I can say is it never drove this nice before even when the TTB wasn't wore out. Sure, it wasn't a high dollar lift either and I'm not trying to sell it short. I won't go into a drawn out thread on it unless anybody has questions on it, seeing as there's dozens of SAS threads on here already, Also, on a side note, I love the way the straight axle looks under it too!

Next, I got an awesome deal on a 429 a few years back. After buying it, I came to find it was a '68 4v engine from a Thunderbird. Rated from factory at 360hp and somewhere over 400ft lbs. So I thought "cool, that'd be a nice engine in the Bronco," since the 306 isn't exactly the best set up for low end torque in a lifted Bronco. After tearing it down to the short block I found it to be a low mile rebuilt engine bored .030 with perfect bearings and rings in it. Even better! I gave the valves a quick lap by hand which since I had them out and ported the exhaust side of the heads (couldn't just leave it stock, right?) Then I put in a Comp XE262 cam for a little added help, along with a Weiand Stealth intake with Holley Sniper EFI. I used Trans Dapt solid mounts that I got local from a friend, and a neutral balance flywheel and clutch kit from Left Eye Blind Racing and Fabrication. This allowed me to use the T18 four speed behind the early internal balance engine since they were never offered from factory with one until '83 which were external balance engines. Anybody putting in a pre-'79 429/460 should check them out. What a kick in the pants that was for the old Bronco. Sure doesn't rev like it used to but it pulls like crazy. Definitely hooked on big blocks now.
