Today, we went with Gerry and his lovely bride to a festival in downtown North Bay with a friend and his wife. There was a car show with some very nice cars from the 50's, 60's and 70's.
The entrance to North Bay which begins the area of Northern Ontario and the Arctic.

You can rent these little pedal cars to ride around town. If I were going to rent something, it would have a motor.
Camels were the last thing I expected to see in North Bay - moose, bear,, but not camels.

Dang! The entire Canadian Air Force is now out of commission.
But you gotta give credit where credit is due. That was a masterful job of parking, huh? Kudos to the pilot!
We are only 71 kilometers/44 miles from Quebec Province; so, last week, we decided to ride over there to Temiscaming, which is northeast of us. The official language in Quebec is French and all road signs, by law, are in French only. In Ontario, road signs are in English and French. There is no English television nor radio. It is all in French. Unless you speak and understand French or you have satellite TV and radio, you are SOL for entertainment.
It was a nice ride, little traffic through rolling, mini mountains. One does not ride this road at night due to wildlife, especially moose. In a motorcycle vs moose situation, the moose wins every time! It is lovely country.
The Ottawa River. Across the river is Quebec Province

The village of Temiscaming. We had lunch in the bistro.
Allen, It never got above 70 today and we were in rain most of the trip. We are about an hour and half from the border. We will cross to NY tomorrow morning.
Gerry, we are at Wal Mart in Milton, ON for the night. No problems on the trip.
