A long, cold winter is worse. There are just too many things that you can't do when there's snow on the ground, ice on the eaves, etc.
From a comfort standpoint, I'd rather deal with 35 than 95. But I also want to spend as much of my free time on the lake as I possibly can. A cool drink or splash of water helps when it's 95. 35 degrees on the water is just miserable, especially if there's a breeze.
But we don't really get a choice, do we.
