I can tell you that between the start of Spring Break and end of Bike Week, Daytona was packed. We camped out at the Cabbage Patch for a 3 day weekend and had a blast. Couldn't even tell you how many cases we killed this weekend. I had to go back to work to catch up on my rest.
Gator, as much as I HATE to say it, the lizards wiped the bases with us the other night. With lowly football team in Gainesville having so many problems with weed, I bet they're going to love St. Patrick's Day and some Gainesville green!
Bay County passed some laws last year that changed Spring Break here. Outlawed alcohol on the beach the whole month of March.
We now have a much quieter crowd.( Much smaller too apparently)
It's kind of funny to me. The people who argued over bringing spring breakers here 40 years ago got rich, and were the same people who argued that spring breakers were not the kind of crowd they wanted here. So they made their millions and now want to stop it. I love it. Panama City Beach used to be long stretches of natural beauty. Huge dunes and fields of sea oats. Now we have long stretches of hideous buildings. Huge condos and fields of concrete. Be careful what you wish for.
I live in Walton County, I've noticed we seem to have a heck of a lot less spring break traffic than we usually do. Is it still slow towards Bay too?
