Does the PCM care what oil temp or outside air temp are before turning on GP's or do they come on every time you start the vehicle? I didn't here anything about temp in the videos showing how to check them.
We don't have many cold days here in Gawja so I'm not up on GP's but I thought I remembered that temp played a part. Ddin't want anyone running out and changing their GPR because it didn't work only to find out they were testing it when things were too warm.
I forgot to plug mine in last year on a night where it was -17 Fahrenheit. Kicking myself in the ***, I waited for the wait to start light to cycle off and the truck cranked real slow but started. Romped and romped for about 10 seconds then ran better. Still ran rough for a minute or two. Won't do that again. My buddy did that and bent a rod. Scary stuff.
My voltage readings using the OBD II scanner were low. My truck wouldn't start either but after 6 cycles and my foot in the pedal she finally fired up. I'm replacing the glow plugs and going from there.
I have been told multiple times that the OBDII scanners DO Not Work on these trucks......
Ok here is the picture. Notice how the screwdriver is touching the posts at the same time. Remember, don't put it on for too long or it will start heating up the screwdriver and posts! This method should be used temporarily for now until you can get it fixed. If you try this first thing in the morning and it fires up, the GPR is most likely the problem.
Alright Kyle! Here's my results. Diehard and I based our ideas off the torque app. Well I got the volt reader tonight after work and tested it on the battery, 12.68 volts. Put the ground on the batteries ground and then put the positive on the exposed post on the relay..... Showed zeros.

That is normal, as the relay is not powered at that point. With the positive on the exposed post, the post on the GP side (on the driver's side of the relay), have someone turn the ignition to "ON" so the WTS lights up on the dash. Then tell us what the volt meter shows.
