2007 Integrated Brake Controller

The article with link below states that ALL 2007 F250s have the necessary wiring for an factory integrated brake controller. True? Can someone describe for me or better yet provide a picture of the wiring that would be at the master cylinder?

Both my 7.3 diesels had a pigtail connection under the dash behind the cubby hole spot. I had to buy a $15 pigtail extension that plugged into that factory one, and then splice the ends to my brake controller. I know its a different year, but maybe the same kind of setup.

I'm going to go with the idea that this article is incorrect. For starters, if you have to replace the master cylinder, then the wiring is not there, and they are referring to the extra wires Ford gives you to run auxiliary items through the firewall. I would be very surprised to find out the wiring is 'all there' by the master cylinder.

I've seen the wiring on 2008-2010 F250s. Those years for those not already equipped with an integrated brake controller you would have to do as the eBay article mentions. The wiring at the brake controller setup at the master cylinder was already there. All you had to do after the proper master cylinder was installed was connect the second pressure transducer to a plug provided at the wiring. I'm hoping the same applies for a 2007.

I think the article is correct. The wiring is there, its the hardware (and programming) thats missing. Its logical that all trucks within a family would use the same harness. What surprises me is that FoMoCo would not also use the same master cylinder, considering the only difference is a single pressure transducer.

Not using the same master cylinder surprises me too but then again, that would probably make it too easy to add the brake controller. Having to replace the master cylinder probably makes it a dealer installed item for most people.

I just bought the 2007 F250 with a 5.4 yesterday but can't find where the second pressure transducer on the upgraded master cylinder plugs into. Pictures of the 2008 setup that someone provided before does not look the same. Can someone provide a picture of the 2005-2007 wiring or a good description of the wiring?

I finally found the elusive plug for the integrated brake controller, the one that connects to the brake controller. I looked at an '06 found on a dealer lot that had the controller from the factory. It's similar to a 2008 but in a slightly different location. The wiring loops back into itself hidden under the brake controller but somewhat out of sight closer to the firewall. Hope this helps anyone else trying to located it.

Here's a picture showing the wiring that's supposed to plug into the 2nd pressure transducer on the master cylinder. It was hard getting a better camera angle but the wiring looks like it loops back into itself. Hope this helps.
