I have a 2006 superduty 6.0 XLT. The truck has the tow package so everything is pre-wired for all the factory equipment.
I was wondering if I could install just the factory controller in the dash or do I have to buy the entire kit with the new master cylinder?
Wouldn't the trucks master cylinder already be wired for the brake controller if it already has all the factor connectors behind the dash?
thanks for any info
The wiring is there for the controller but like you said the master cylinder and programming needs to be changed . I think it will cost more than it's worth . Try the brake smart it works just like the factory controller . I can tell you this much I have one of the early 05's that the TBC sucks on and replaced it with a P3 .
Thanks for the response. The factory unit is 500 plus they have to install it in order to keep the warranty, which is probably another 500 bucks. Ya all just stick to a standard unit.
