Door Lock Protection Plates Ford Superduty F250 F350 F450 Excursion
Ravelco makes a wiring system that has not been defeated, so they say, if you pull the key.
I decided to completely remove the lock and its linkage from the door and buy two new door handles for rear doors without a keyhole. So hopefully they won't even try if they notice no lock and this should keep them from destroying the door from trying to get by that plate. Also the other way to get in is to just smash the lock in with a big screw driver and twist the lock, I don't think the plate can stop that anyways.
I have never used those locks in the seven year that I have had the truck, and if the battery goes dead it wouldn't be too difficult to get power to it just enough to unlock the door.
I also want to disable the truck with a switch or something and that Ravelco is a good option.

Part of this little discussion is way to prevent some person from taking
the truck if they have a little bit more than a few minutes to get int and
get it started.
